We’ve set ourselves a big goal to document every UK National Ranking from day one right through to the present.

It’s no small task, but we’re already deep into the first decade, working through both UKBMX and NBMXA records. What started as a challenge has quickly become a genuinely enjoyable project, uncovering names and moments that helped shape British BMX in its earliest years.

1981 — The First Official UKBMX National Series

1981 marked the first recognised National Series in the UK where Number One plates were awarded.
