Congratulations to Kye Forte! Inducted into the British BMX Hall of Fame Class of 2025 – King of Dirt

Kye Forte’s career has spanned racing, dirt, freestyle and mountain biking. A National and British BMX Champion in the late 1990s, Kye quickly made his mark across multiple disciplines.

Over the years he earned several European King of Dirt titles and, in 2005, took first place at both the BMX Dirt Worlds and the Suzuki Masters BMX Dirt event, alongside an impressive fifth place finish at the X Games.

Kye went on to create and compete in the legendary Red Bull Empire of Dirt events in 2006, 2008 and 2012, redefining what BMX dirt contests could be. He also organised the Oakley Trail Tour and Road Trip series for several years.

Throughout his career he rode for brands including Sunn, Pashley, TwoAnd8, Federal, United, Oakley, Fox and DC Shoes, while also becoming a long time Red Bull athlete, representing each brand with creativity and style.

Today, Kye runs Forte Trailscapes, a company that designs and builds BMX and pump tracks across the UK, including several major Red Bull projects such as Billy Bolt’s Red Bull Tyne Ride event and the dirt course for the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

In 2011, Kye had a standout section in the This Is United video, further cementing his influence and reputation on a bike.

Expanding beyond BMX, he also found major success in downhill mountain biking, claiming first place in the British DH Masters and second place in the British Expert Championships during 2015 and 2016.

Recognised for his lasting impact on UK BMX, Kye Forte received Ride Magazine’s Lifetime Achievement Award and continues to ride anything with two wheels today, whether it’s BMX, mountain bikes or motocross.
