Hounslow Local – John Oakins

So many great riders in the UK were real undercover talents, perhaps under the radar, and didn’t get the coverage they deserved. Here’s an example, John Oakins from Hounslow.

John rode for Boogie Racing in the mid ’80s, and along with riding friend Rob Jiggins, another Hounslow local, both had serious skills and could podium and win Nationals.

John won the 14–15 Cruiser class at the UKBMX Slough season opener in 1986. His bike was always on point, and he always had great style.
